Mahalo & Aloha to All! The McKinley Robotics Team returned from the Nationals on Monday (4/25/05). The team seeded eleventh out of eighty-five teams in the Curie division. The Curie division was made up of teams from the east coast and Midwest. During the competition we seeded as high as third. Unfortunately, due the nature of this game anything can happen. Our team performed remarkably well among teams they never played before. We are very proud of our delegates returning from Atlanta. They represented Hawaii's engineering talent well. On behalf of the McKinley Robotics Team we thank all of you for your blessings and generosity. Without your support our team would not have gotten the opportunity to experience the highest level of the F.I.R.S.T. Robotics Competition. Best Regards,

It's gone! [ 02.21.05 ] We added our robot specs. Check them out! [ 02.17.05 ] Recently, we designed a team page for our school yearbook.
We would like to share it with you. Please click on the
thumbnail to enlarge the image. [ 02.12.05 ] We've been M.I.A. (Missing In Action) for several days now. Within the past two weeks we accomplished a lot. On the website, we updated Weeks 4 and 5. Please view our galleries. On the robot, we added a four speed automatic transmission, and we are currently working on the autonomous code, and a lift system. Only 10 more days to go! Good luck to everyone and thank you for continuing to support us! [ 02.02.05 ] ![]()
Today we had a very special visitor. Mark Leon, the Director of Education for the N.A.S.A. Ames Research Center in Moffett Field, California, spoke with our team. His speech was very inspiring to us. He emphasized three main ideas: declaration, unreasonable ambition, and resolve. Declaration: set a goal and set one's mind to it. Unreasonable ambition: no matter how unreasonable a goal may seem, one should aspire and strive towards that goal anyway. Resolve: take actions towards one's goals and be committed to them. We enjoyed his stay here and look forward to seeing him at the San Jose competition! [ 01.30.05 ] We fixed the broken links so the website should run properly now. We hope you like the site! Have a nice day! [ 01.29.05 ] For the last couple of days, we created new banners, and reorganized the picture gallery. The video gallery should be added soon. [ 01.23.05 ] Our site is back up with changes of graphics, some bios, and the general layout. [ 01.22.05 ] We tweaked slightly our site over the past couple days. Enjoy! |
