Botball (2004)

2004 Botball match between teams

Botball is a Lego based robotics competition run by KIPR (KISS Institute for Practical Robotics). These robots run autonomously (without human control) so robots must be pre-programmed and tested before the competition.

2004 was the first year that Botball came to Hawaii. The 2004 game featured blue and yellow cups, orange poof balls, and goals. The 10 ft. by 8 ft. field is divided in half separating the black and white teams.

The object of the game was to rid your side of the field of blue cups and get as many yellow cups on your side as possible. Robots can stack cups on top of each other for extra bonus points. 4 orange poof balls were placed on top of cup at the start of the match. Robots must get the balls into the corner goals on their side.
