Zone Zeal (2002)

Teams fighting over the control for the goals

Zone Zeal was played on a large rectangular field that is divided into 5 zones. 2 alliances each made up of 2 teams had 2 zones of their color, a home zone located at the far ends of the field and the scoring zone located near the center of the field. Three 180 pound octagon shaped goals on caster wheels are situated in the center of the field. Soccer balls are also located along the edges of the field.

The object of the game was to move the large goals to your home scoring zones. Getting the soccerballs into the goals would earn more points for your team. If any part of your robot was in your home zone by the end of the round, you would get bonus points.
