Saturday February 14, 2009 Valentine's Day

.....I can't seem to remember anything about today.....I stayed at robotics for too long.....Today we worked on making the gurney ready for the robot to be put on. We used old blocks of wood and cut the metal brackets to hold the robot and leave the blocks in place. This included getting the right sized brackets and trilling holes and then screwing it into the wood. We also helped the electrical team a bit by doing minor things since I was the only on here for the first couple of hours...I helped out by holding a plastic cover under their work so there would be no mess and turned something so that they could do a reading but I don’t know what it was...-_-. Then people started arriving and hour or two later and we started watching and talking rather than working. And we spent and hour or two just signing the card for Ryan because we were talking a lot then too. There was a going away party for Ryan which Wendy, Judy, Erica, and Li Xi spent a lot of time planning and Ryan wasn’t even really there for it....We also did a bunch of other stuff and we exchanged chocolate between the boys and the girls which apparently is a tradition I did not know about....Then when we finally got beck we were working on the brackets for the bumpers. We used the mill to drill holes and countersink them. We had an additional member of the team today, Chris. We had a system going where Judy would move the table of the mill and Wendy and later Chris would drill the hole. Li Xi would deburr the holes and I would check if the countersink was deep enough. Hong Dong was off talking to the electrical team...The bumpers are supposed to be easy to take out because we have the brackets and then we will have a rod or something and all we have to do is pull it out and it will come off.
