Sprockets
| The mechanical team used the CNC this year to create custom sprockets. Sprocket designs were created in Inventor and then imported into EdgeCAM which created the toolpath for the CNC to follow.
The middle wheels use a dual sprocket configuration. What's unique is that it is machined from a single block of metal. 25 pitch chains are used on the chassis to transmit power to all wheels and also on the main portion of the lift. 35 pitch chain is used from the dewalt transmission that powers the lift to the transfer shaft of the lift. |
