User Control
| After autonomous mode it switches to user control which lasts for 2 minutes. The human driver and operators take control of the robot with custom configured controllers.
Our primary driver James wanted a different kind of controller rather than the usual flight joysticks. We customized a steering wheel controller that was originally made for PC racing games. With a combination of a joystick and the steering wheel, he has full control over the robot's drive. Calvin, our primary controller, is in charge of the arm. Different controls of joystick have been programmed to control the arm's joints and grabber. A set of switches next to the joystick are used to move the arm to preset positions for scoring on the rack and picking up tubes. |
